In Loving Memory of Ms. Cora Lee Bailey

Cora Lee Bailey, 84, passed away on July 14th, 2025, in Jonesboro, GA. Born on December 14th, 1940, Cora was a beacon of kindness and gentleness, touching the lives of many with her sweet spirit. Cora spent her early education at Center Community School District, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed a passion for learning and community service. Although she did not pursue a formal education beyond high school, her wisdom and insights were sought by all who knew her.

She was a devout member of World Changers Ministries and Harvest Church of Kansas City, where she was deeply involved in various church activities. Cora dedicated much of her time to reading her Bible daily and ministering to others, sharing words of comfort and faith.

Cora is survived by her sons, Bryan Anthony, Travis Randall, Frankie Lovelle, & Luther O'Neil Canady; her siblings Ulysses Wallace, Luvella Byers, Lorene Dunbar, and Shirley Hardiman. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fredrick Bailey; her parents, Luther & CeDella Garlington Wallace; and her siblings, Ollieway, Leodis, Tiny, & LeVester Byers, Ora Lee Chenault, and Ester Mae Trezvant.

Cora's life was a testament to her enduring faith and her unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her gentle spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
