In Loving Memory of our Beloved CCF Member, Mrs. Paula D. Miller

Mrs. Paula D. Miller, 59, of Conway, AR departed this life on Friday, August 1, 2025. She was born February 22, 1966 In Morrilton, AR to Myree Ross Johnson and the late Carl W. Johnson. Paula was the oldest of the Johnson Crew. She was raised in the Center Community of Cleveland, Arkansas. She professed Christ at a young age when she became a membr of Moore's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Paula sang in the choir and serve on other committees in the church.

Paula was a proud graduate of Wonderview High School, "Go Daredevils", Class of 1984. She continued her education by attending the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas, where she recieved a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1991. The year 1991 was a good year for Paula because that is when she met her soon-to-be husband, Christopher Miller and on March 23, 1996, five years later, they married and blended their families and brought their children together: Tra, Chantiel, Chaulis, and Dewayne.

Paula became a member of Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church that same year, but she was not finished yet. In 1999, Bryton was born. This union was a blessed 29 years of marriage with a total of 34 wonderful years together. Paula had an extraordinary work ethic; she started working at a very young age. She started in the fast food industry, but it didin't stop there. She went on to work for Champs in Maumelle until they closed their doors. Once Champs closed its doors, she went on to work at Molex for approximately two years and decided that she wanted to try her luck with Kimberly-Clark. Once she started working there, she loved it and went on to work for over 20 years at the Conway Facility, which closed in 2019. She went to the Maumelle Facility and worked there for an additional three years until her health started to fail. Paula loved her family immensely, and there were no limits to what she would do for them and she will be missed beyond measures.

Paula has been welcomed into paradise by her father, Carl Johnson; her grandparents, Freddie and Josie Ross; her grandfather, Matthew Littlejohn; her son, Tra B. Miller; and a special friend, Ulis L. Stubbs, Jr.

Paula leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy, her husband, Christopher B. Miller. Two sons, Dewayne "Jalia" McCray Jr. and Bryton C. Miller. Two daughters, Chantiel R. and Chaulis R. Miller. Five grandsons: Nathan, Nicholas, Jacobi, Julien, and Jacob. One great-grandson, Carter. Her loving mother, Myree Johnson; one brother, Cordell Johnson; and one sister, Shelia "Andre" Miller. A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, neohews, in-laws, friends, and last but not least, her "boyfriend", Uncle George Harper.

Paula was an esteemed member of the Center Community Foundation of Cleveland, Arkansas, where she held the position of Chair of the Membership Sub-Committee. She played a crucial role in developing the rules and policies for onboarding new members and was instrumental in implementing action plans concerning membership dues, honorary memberships, and benefit packages for members versus non-members. Paula actively participated in monthly member calls, consistently contributing her insights on various topics. Her presence will be profoundly missed. Rest in peace. (CCF exec. and members).
