In Loving Memory of Sister Bobbie Ross: Honorary member of Center Community...



Ms. Bobbie Ross, a beloved and long-time resident of the Center Community passed away on March 25th 2024. Ms. Bobbie Jean Ross, 88 years young, was born October 02, 1935 to James and Mary Ross of Hattieville, AR. Ms. Bobbie was a devoted Christian and life-long member of the New Mt. Zion AME Zion church where she was a choir leader for the junior choir as well as holding other essential positions.

Ms. Bobbie was a strong, phenomenal, black woman that raised five children and two grandchildren as a single parent. She was educated at the Center Community School and later became a community activist by participating in many community projects and becoming the assistant coach for the Center Community softball team. She was employed with ARVC in Dardanelle, Arkansas. Also, she enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, and gardening.
