Beware of Covetousness”

“Then he said to them, ‘Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.’”
Message: Greed is an insatiable desire for material value and social gain; power and status. King Solomon was richer and wiser than any other king in the world (2Ch 9: 22). He had more things than any of us can ever imagine. But, he frequently spoke of the emptiness and frustration that these things brought to his life—he searched from one thing to another but was never satisfied: Ecclesiastics 5:10 says, “Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.” “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Mat 6:21). Guard yourself against every kind of greed because life is not measured by how much you own.
