Mrs. Reola White, a cherished resident of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Baptist Health-Little Rock. She was 88 years old. Born on December 17, 1935, in Cleveland, Arkansas, to James and Ida Byers, Mrs. White was the eldest of five siblings. She received her education at the Center School and Conway County Training School in Menifee, Arkansas, where she laid the foundation for a life of service and devotion.
Early in life, Mrs. White embraced her faith and became an active member of Moore’s Chapel A.M. E. Zion Church in Cleveland, Arkansas. Her commitment to her church community was unwavering, as she served as a class lead and deaconess.
On April 3, 1956, Mrs. White married Mildren White, with whom she shared a beautiful union and welcomed ten children into their lives. Mrs. White dedicated over 54 years of service to Bells & Bows, later named Morrilton Early Child Development, where she retired. Her culinary skills were renowned, and she was particularly known for her homemade yeast rolls, a testament to her nurturing spirit and culinary expertise.
Beyond her role as a mother and grandmother, Mrs. White was a pillar of support and love for her community. Her green thumb and passion for gardening brought life and vibrancy to her surroundings, while her love for soap operas brought joy and entertainment to her leisure time. As a beloved honorary member of the Center Community Foundation she received her flowers of appreciation for her contributions and participation.
As we mourn the loss of Mrs. Reola White, let us celebrate her life, her love, and the profound impact she made on all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul find eternal peace.
